Uchenna Iroegbu participated in all of Capital Christian High School’s athletic competitions throughout all four seasons. During his senior season, he led his team to a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division V championship and finished third in the state of California with a 28–4 record. He also led his team in scoring with 15 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game on average. This led to him being named to the all-district and all-league teams.

Uchenna Iroegbu began his collegiate career at the junior college level for the College of Southern Idaho, where he played for two seasons. As a rookie, he averaged 4.1 points per game, but as a sophomore, when he saw more playing time, he increased that number to 6.6 points per game on average.
